Fan Writings: Madonna Live to Tell - Live in London
Confessions in LondonWith the Confessions Tour having now premiered on TV in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom, more comments and views are coming in from our readers and Madonna fans from all over the world. Here is the one sent in by our reader Johnny W today - be sure to add yours as well if you like - by sending us an email. Thank you everybody!

"NBC premiered Madonna's Confessions Tour on the 22nd and (naturally) edited it (not just due to time restrictions but "demand"). Various Christian religious groups were against Madonna "mocking" Christ with her enactment of Jesus' crucifixion.
Those who have heard Madonna's explanation or (those who are less hypocritically) who have seen the show know she is not mocking Christ but bringing awareness about the plight of AIDS in Africa.

Channel 4 is a channel, which, generally, tries to break down barriers. Sometimes controversial but tries to stay honest. Tonight, in England, we watched Madonna Confessions Tour (edited to a schedule) but "bleeped" and "blurred" it was not.

"If I ran away..." Close up of Madonna's face, the thorns, the cross and then the light in the background on the screens. I was watching Live to Tell, as it should be. Inter-cut with the AIDS epidemic images as Madonna intended. Expressing the message that we should do more for countries that need our western help.

We also saw the finger ("Sorry"), the heart ("I love New York") - okay this one may be due to trademark - and heard the lyrics ("suck George Bush's dick"). No bleeps, no blurs just pure Madonna, again as she intended.
Ok, we didn't get "Drowned World", "Paradise (Not For Me)", "Lucky Star" etc. - (DVD Sticker) "CONTAINING PREVIOUSLY UNSEEN FOOTAGE OF LUCKY STAR..." - but in a society where we are allowed to see and hear Madonna say "suck George Bush's dick" and not have a "higher" union censor it for us we should say "Ho" and wave our hands in the air like we don't care. But what if she said "suck Tony Blair's dick". Would we still see it on UK TV?

A toast to Channel 4 and the Confessions Tour. Let's look forward to the DVD and hope we can unite together and try to do our bit with the AIDS epidemic and the other monstrosities in the world. "Doing our bit" isn't necessarily about going to Africa or donating to a charity. It can be educating your child / another person about awareness, listening to someone who is in a difficult moment, practising safe sex etc.

I'm not going to list all the Madonna cliché lyrics "Why's it so hard..." etc. but just want to say a little thank you for being you. Madonna you are not going to change the world in a day and neither are we. But lets try."

Fan Writings: Live To Tell - An Artistic Analysis
For InspirationMadonnaTribe forum member ICGenie from England has written the following article in which he analyses the most controversial moment in Madonna's Confessions Tour: The Cross.

Live To Tell - An Artistic Analysis

As a general rule, I hate discussing art in this way. After many years of writing essays and analysing art, I now find it pretty pointless. For a start, the only person who knows the true intentions behind a work is the artist themselves. Secondly, to discuss something that someone else hasn't seen is fruitless. You wouldn't want to tell people what a piece of music sounds like without playing it to them, would you? Seeing the Mona Lisa is a completely different experience to seeing a picture of the Mona Lisa. In the same way, you can imagine Live To Tell in your head, listen to a recording, see a couple of pictures but unless you are there, seeing it with your own eyes it will never have the same impact.

Thirdly, art is, of course, purely subjective. Everyone brings their own baggage to a work, and that inevitably changes the way they view it. If you don't like Madonna, you are bound to view it with a frown. It's human nature. However, as you asked so nicely, here is my personal take on the Live To Tell piece. I'll make it as brief as possible.

The song. I've had this discussion on Madonna forums, and no-one seems to know what it is originally about, if anything. It could be about a husband and wife, a child's fear of a family member, abortion, sin. Some believe it's about Madonna's personal experience of rape, some believe it is about the stigma of AIDS. Some even think it could be political. No-one really knows, and Madonna seems reluctant to reveal - the general consensus is that the ambiguity is intentional. This of course makes it the ideal song to be used for this topic. Even if all of the above intents are true, most of them have a relevance the the subject of AIDS, and it's easy to read the words and relate them to the issue.

The song may have religious connotations for Madonna - when she performed it during the Blond Ambition tour the stage was set like a church. The Vatican has long been criticised for it's stance on condoms in relation to the AIDS crisis in Africa. This has made it difficult for the governments of Christian countries to educate their people about safe sex. This along with the continued belittlement of women in many countries has been a lethal combination - the women are often the more devout, and will refuse to use condoms even though their husbands are infected.

The Catholic church is perhaps an unfair target - although infection rates in Christian countries are higher than those in Muslim countries, the rates for Catholic countries are much lower than non-Catholic Christian countries. Madonna obviously still has some issues with her early Catholicism, and possibly chooses it as a primary target because her upbringing makes her more comfortable in challenging it. But I don't think it is the only message or target within the performance.

Sacrifice is undoubtedly one of the points being made. What can each person sacrifice to try to make someone else's life better. I also feel there is a further message for those who consider themselves Christians. What would Jesus think of the world we live in today? Of how we treat our fellow human beings? What would He do if He came back to Earth? I think Madonna is trying to ask all of her audience - whether they believe in God or not - to do their bit. To, "walk the walk," as she puts it.

A little explanation of the whole piece for those who haven't seen it. Rather than a rapid onslaught of images and facts, the audience are simply presented with 3 facts and 5 images (if I remember correctly) to make the point. Not wanting to sing with a barrier between herself and the audience, Madonna descends from the cross before the bridge and sings the remainder of the song to the audience. The song ends with the website addresses of Raising Malawi and The Clinton Foundation on the screens. The mirrored effect on the cross may have further connotations (about materialism perhaps), but I suspect that may be reading too much into it and it is purely to make a better visual fit into the rest of the show.

Is it shocking? Not really. Jesus has been portrayed by people many many times before, so why this has caused so much consternation I don't know. I suspect that the majority of those who criticise have not seen the performance and thus do not understand the context. Or maybe there are those in the Catholic church who do understand but who wish to deflect the criticism. Some Catholic fans have found it offensive, some do not understand how anyone could be offended by it.

Provocation often gets confused with shock, and I certainly believe that Madonna wishes to provoke, but I do not think she intends to shock. That is probably even more evident in the fact that she has chosen to take this tour to Rome, to the heart of the Catholic church - the first time she has toured Rome since Blond Ambition. It is easy to be lazy and presume that it is a publicity stunt, but I have no doubt in my mind that she intends to generate publicity for the cause rather than for herself. But when it comes down to it, it is a work of art, not a marketing campaign and it should not be judged as such.

I'm sure that when you garner your information about the piece on hearsay it may sound somewhat crass. "It's a painting of some flowers," wouldn't convince me that I'd love Van Gogh's Sunflowers. I understand that journalists have a job to do, an agenda to fulfill and many of those who have commented on the piece have done based on a still image. However, seen live, Live To Tell is very simple, emotional and effective.

Fan Writings: Confessions Of A Queen
Confessions in PhiladelphiaThanks to M-Triber Donato for sharing his fan review of his experience at the "Confessions Tour" in Philadelphia.

"Way back in the summer of 2001, the long-awaited Madonna concert I had dreamt about ever since I was old enough to think for myself had finally arrived. Unfortunately, for me, the dismal, yet visually stunning Drowned World Tour left a bitter-sweet taste. I had left each of the three concerts I attended wondering why my idol looked so uncomfortable on stage.

Then in 2004, in support of her poorly-received, most artistic album American Life, Madonna embarked on what would be - for me - a visual masterpiece in which she finally embraced her massive back catalogue of hits. The Re-Invention Tour was breathtaking and in my opinion the best stage show I will ever see. I mean, did we ever think she would be smart enough to open a show with mega-hit "Vogue"?? - I sure didn't. It was a perfect balance between the then and now and it blew me away. There were still moments, however, where I was left wondering why she wasn't smiling. To be honest, I often wonder if she truly enjoys what it is she does, or at 47, does she feel forced by middle age and an overbearing record company to do it all now? Let's face it: we live in a society splattered with un-talented, broken beauties. As a concerned fan I often wonder if Madonna fears the inevitable or if she truly believes she will defy gravity until the end of time.

All of this was laid to rest the moment Madonna appeared on stage to begin a two-night stint at the Wachovia Center. This is Madonna's seventh headlining tour and it's title "Confessions" is an obvious attempt to warn concert goers that the set list would be dominated by 2005's Confessions On A Dance Floor, an album that brought Madonna the commercial success she was always used to.

The provocative diva transformed and transpired all the tricks - she dressed the stage in a song drenched in desire so potent once can only surmise is the result of an intense practice of perfectionism. "Come with me", she whispered, during the opening number "Future Lovers" (a highlight from the ''Confessions'' CD) after emerging from a giant disco ball that descended onto center stage. Dressed in full equestrian regalia, Madonna commanded attention from the very start. The four male dancers, strapped in harnesses were very much in tune with the opening theme - they and the audience were the subjects and Madonna was our ruler, a true queen.

"Get Together", another "Confessions" track began almost immediately after - leaving our queen to stroll up and down the catwalk purring with perfection the haunting lyrics "this is all an illusion". It was at that moment when I noticed her smile illuminating the arena far brighter than I have ever been witness. Was this an illusion or could it be our Maddy was actually having a good time? If you looked closely enough the look in her eyes expressed no fear. Madonna had certainly arrived - this was her show and she was in perfect control.

The rest of the show was dazzling - to say the least - with Madonna strutting her stuff to old classics like "Lucky Star", "La Isla Bonita" and the crowd favorite "Like A Virgin". She performed an acoustic version of "Drowned World" and even rocked out on the guitar for "I Love New York" and "Ray of Light". She ended the show with an extended version of her mega hit "Hung Up". No Encores, but can you blame her? The show was nearly 2 hours long and she gave us her all - captivating us in an energy so infectious we as an audience had no choice but to surrender wholeheartedly."

Fan Writings: My tears for Madonna
Confessions TourThanks to DJPATMTL for sharing his memories from his "Confessions Tour" concerts. Here they are:

"What Can I say? What Can I Do? I'm so in love with you!

That's exactly what I felt when I came out of my second show that I attended in Boston on Monday.

Now that I'm back on track, I can give my impressions.

I'm from Montreal and I saw her first night in my city. Both shows (Montreal & Boston) were amazing. But I have to say:

Let's forget about Boston, let me tell you, the crowd sucked big time. At one point Madonna stopped and asked the crowd if they were attending a BBQ! And she asked to some other people why they looked so mad! Half of the arena were sitting on their ass for the entire show! What's wrong with you? Are you seeing or hearing the same thing as us?

Now let's talk about the Montreal show! The crowd and the roof were on fire! The city itself was on fire! It was going crazy everywhere and hearing Madonna's music playing in all stores and restaurants was awesome! After the show I walked back home and people were stopping me on the street asking how was the show and how lucky I was to be there! I honestly never saw that. She completely took the place, even if it was the Grand Prix at the same time.

I came out of the show so tired. I jumped from the beginning to the end (well I sat down a bit for Drowned World / Paradise). I cried 3 times, especially during Live to Tell, when I saw the children orphans from AIDS (I'm HIV+ and it touched me a lot).

People sang every words of every songs. Critics were very surprised of that.

My favorites moments: the entire show! My little little complaint: not enough group choreographies. The dancers were awesome, they were performing great! But the common of mortals doesn't understands that, they react to group numbers, not to solos. That's bad for the dancers because people were almost not reacting to their solos. I'm a dancer and choreographer, I was blown away by each dancers, but I still think that group dancing is much more impressive than solos in that type of dance. I just wanted to say that: You guys rock anyways!

I would go for a third night, but I can't :o(

I miss her already... Until the next tour..."

Fan Writings: The World Cup of Music
Confessions in BostonHere's an excerpt from an interesting post on Randolph Michaels' blog at popculturist.blogspot.com.

The Italians may have won the coveted World Cup, but for whatever reason Madonna never even mentioned it during her second of three sold-out shows at the TD Banknorth Garden last night. It was just one of many indications that her show was extremely choreographed from start to finish, leaving very little room for spontanaeity. Madonna has always had trouble connecting with her audiences over the years, though perhaps that is what preserves the illusion that she is a larger-than-life untouchable Superstar.

Her Confessions show has a good, solid set of tunes and the biggest surprise of all is that the best ones are from her latest album, Confessions on a Dance Floor. As a matter of fact, half the show - 10 songs - were from that collection. This certainly gave the audience what it craves most from Madonna - lots of dance music. Her two backup singers were only seen in the final moments of the show, which gave plenty of much-needed room for her troupe of am azing dancers. There were some moments where the non-stop action of the dancers became somewhat distracting, especially considering how much else was happening on the stage. There was the stellar lighting, constant imagery on the backdrop video screens and her four lowly members of her band (who went virtually ignored throughout the show).

Fan Writings: Rock On Madonna
Tour ExpectationsThe Confessions Tour now just hours away as I type away. What am I expecting BIG BOLD and BRASH. I want to see Madonna perform in a way she captivated the world during Blonde Ambition and turn that on it’s head to bring us a show stopper that will leave other performers live shows in the shadows for years to come.

I waited a long time to see Madonna perform live, my first time was in 2004 during the Re-Invention tour and although I loved the show and Madonna’s voice I thought it lacked a certain magic that I had come to expect of her performances. For me the biggest let down was the video screens that where used, Madonna and others seemed to get lost in the imagery as they engulfed what was going on upon the stage. Having seen what the set now looks like for the Confessions Tour I feel although more screens have been used, the curvature of them will eliminate much of the engulfing and become part of the show; the catwalks will also add more dimension and depth and also bring the performance closer to the audience.

I also look forward to the set list, by far the most up-beat since Blond Ambition and probably the most crowed pleasing of the latter three tours, Like A Virgin I can’t wait!

The anticipation of this tour for me is more intense then Re-Invention build up ever was, and I am sure the magic will be there along with the glitter balls and spandex jump suits!

Rock on Madonna and Roll on August 1st!

Fan Writings: Part of Her World
Tour ExpectationsI was only a young child when Madonna came to the world and told us she wanted to rule. When I first saw her on television and heard her on the radio I knew I needed to be a part of her world.

Today I hold tickets to her show in Los Angeles on May 21. This is the opening date for her world tour and I couldn't feel more fortunate to have this amazing and rare opportunity.

I did attend the opening night of the re-Invention tour as well and I can tell you that the magic and euphoria that filled The Forum in Los Angeles was completely mind-numbing. When they finally shuffled in the photographers and journalists from around the world, I knew that this opening night wasn't only for the people in the arena. This was Madonna's opening night show and we were going to be the first to see the magic.

This year I will go with the same friends I went with on the last tour. Together we know we are in store for something incredible. This will be Madonna's best show ever. It will be thunderous; it will be pumping; it will be bright; it will be pure fun.

I know the setlist already so there won't be any surprises for me. What I don't know yet is what the entire stage set is going to look like. I can only imagine that it will consist of huge screens with images and an incredibly long catwalk that will reach the back of the arena.

To all of you who are going to the show in the coming months: Have loads of fun and God bless our patron saint Madonna!!!!!!

Tour ExpectationsHi Tribers, my Name is Gabe and I am attending both concerts in Phoenix, Arizona on June the 8th and 10th .

My partner Robin and me are such big Madonna fans. I'm really happy to see the shows; the only thing that makes us sad is the rumor that she will not sing Holiday which is a trademark to all her shows.

But Lucky Star sounds great too. And we can’t wait to hear Like a Virgin. Take care all of you MadonnaTribe fans and have a GREAT time at the show.

Fan Writings: Anxious, nervous, excited, and wanting to ''Jump!''
Tour ExpectationsDuring the Re-Invention Tour, I was one of the lucky few who got to see Madonna in the pit - and to actually shake her hand! Therefore I thought the anticipation of seeing her during her next tour would actually be somewhat less stressful, as surely nothing could probably top looking into Madonna's eyes and saying "I love you!"

Then, she released the "Confessions album" - and I was hooked yet again!

It's easily my most favorite album - the one I have been waiting for her to release all my life: all-dance, up-tempo powerhouse songs. There's not a bad track on the entire album! Each one just rocks my world. And to think she was going to tour around it was amazing!

I knew the moment I heard Future Lovers it would be the tour opener. It gives me chills every time. And though I had a brief pause when the rumored sections were announced - I was like, "Equestrian???" - I knew M enough to trust her judgement.

Now, as the tour moves into its final preparations, I feel like I did in the summer of 2004: anxious, nervous, excited, and I just want to "Jump!" Seeing the behind-the-scenes clips with Cloud and the other dancers truly makes me feel like I am seeing old friends again that I haven't seen for 2 years.

It doesn't matter that maybe friends, family, coworkers don't often understand the obsession that is being a Madonna fan. For my part, I can't tell how anyone can sit still when they hear "Hung Up." But I'm so glad that the icon who I've followed since the beginning is still going strong, still teaches, still entertains, still moves me. She has provided the soundtrack to her fans' lives.

Let the Confessions begin!

Fan Writings: Emotional eruptions
Tour ExpectationsYou've seen the costume sketches, you know the songs, you even think you're cognizant of the set list, but no one can fully comprehend the majestic magnitude of The Confessions Tour.

I for one am ready for the thrill. The anticipation is stifling. I plan to see Queen Madge in Philly on July 12. My friends and I are mapping out the scene and placing in our requests for vacation time as we set off to see the wonderful woman of rock. Five Hundred miles is only a short hike when compared to the treasure that lies across the way.

This is my second Mecca. My first involved a journey to Atlanta for the RIT tour. I burst into tears as I beheld her beauty for the first time. It is a night I shall never forget. Now, as I prepare for the second journey I can only anticipate the emotional eruptions that precede me.

The Confessions Tour will rock. It will be bold. Madonna will return to her role as seductress and S&M femme fatal, a character totally void in the RIT tour. She will push buttons, and manage to command obedience all at the same time.

My concert t-shirt is being made this week in honor of the royal one, a light pink tee adorned with a silhouette of a disco dancer lying prostrate on the floor. The words underlying the restless dancer reads, "Madonna Summer" in pink lettering. The back simply reads, "Just Watch Me Burn." That we will do as Madonna once again burns up the summer of 2006.

Fan Writings: Absolutely Fabulous
Tour ExpectationsThe Confessions Tour will be my third time to see Madonna live in concert. However, it will bring me many firsts. This will be the first time that I have ever been to Miami. Previously I had traveled to Atlanta to see her on both the Re Invention Tour and the Drowned World Tour. This will also be the first time that a group of my best and closest friends will be going with me. On the other concert tours friends had planned to go, but due to money issues and timing, they were unable to make it. This time, my self and 8 of my friends will be going to Miami and all will be attending the concert, even though some of us will be going one night, and the rest will be going the second night. This will also be the first time that I get to see Madonna twice on the same tour. I had purchased tickets for two nights at the Re-Invention tour, but my car had just been totaled and I had not yet bought a new car. So I had a ride to Atlanta with a friend. He lived out of town and was driving in town to pick me up on his way, but his car broke down, and I ended up missing the first night of the concert. I heard it was one of the worst shows on the tour, but I still saw it as $300 down the drain. I am flying to Miami with room for error so, it WON'T Be happening again.

I am planning to document the event, "Truth or Dare style", from the month leading up to the concert, to the day we fly home. I've purchased a good video camera and about 40 hours of film. I don't plan on filming the actual concert, I wouldn.t want to waste my time looking into a camera when I can look at the real thing. However, I do plan on using other fan-cam video footage, or footage from the HBO broadcast of the concert just as Madonna did in both Truth or Dare and I'm Going To Tell You A Secret. I expect it will be fun, as there are at least two other Huge Madonna fans (of the 8 friends) going with us.

As for my actual concert expectations? ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. Nothing Less. It is Madonna, after all, and she has set the bar high, even for her self. I was somewhat disappointed by the Re-Invention Tour, I felt it "lacked" something because of the uninspired stage, the Kabbalah advertisement, the political agenda, a shoddy set list (even though it was a greatest hits tour) and less than stellar costuming (except for the first costume, for Vogue). After seeing the sketches for the Gaultier costumes, fan footage and pictures from Coachella, and hearing how the . "Music/Disco Inferno" mix might sound, all fears and worries about this concert tour flew out the window. I no longer stew over the fact that "Everybody" is no longer on the tour. Nor do I worry about what the stage setup will be, because I just know she's got something fantastic and new in store for us. I expect this tour will bring Madonna to the greatness we, as fans, have come to expect from her. I don.t think she will disappoint.

Fan Writings: Phenomenal Madonna, mother to the world
Tour ExpectationsDear Madonna Tribers,

I expect the best ever concert this time. I love all of Madonna and she transmitts total bliss nomatter what she does. The tour is her sharing with us the light she works on sharing with her beautiful amazing army of joy givers. I expect joy, pure joy. Good luck Madonna Tribers - I expect all Tribers to rule. Kick ass and show the world what we are made of, I will be, we're all active and empowered in this. I expect Madonna to be spiritually and in every way phenomenal, miraculous, every day with her on the planet is magic for us all, this is a time of light- shine your light baby, shine it for even the blind to see it and wake up all the sleeping souls out there who don't express themselves.

I expect Madonna to be political, more that anyone, in her way, be brave, I expect her to have the courage she is good at, to do what nobody else can do, I expect her to mother the world and be queen of love and humanity.

I expect her to consolidate the power and messages she carries, to leave a universal message of love and bliss. Be political, for social justice, be outrageously good, like knowone else could. Rock our world on every level honey, cut across divisions, your music makes unity, be proud, be braver than ever in braking hate.

More power to you Tribers, shine the love and light together beyond our wildest expectations. You can do anything Madonna, you are mother to the world! We love you!

Love Always,

Fan Writings: A Full Scale Disco Party
Tour ExpectationsWith the kick-off of the Confessions Tour only a couple of days ahead of us, the excitement grows to new heights, even though the shows I'm attending aren't due until August and September (Hannover, Paris and Amsterdam). The days befor a tour start are always a good time for watching DVDs of previous tours, so as I'm watching my re-Invention DVDs over and over again, I can't help but feel the exact same excitement I felt in 2004.

As I didn't manage to keep myself 'spoiler-free', of course I know some stuff about the tour already. Never mind though, a Madonna show is always a surprise, and no word or images can describe it the way it actually looks and feels to be there in the venue. The moment the houselights go down and the music starts, the whole arena is captivated by the little spot on the stage where Madonna will emerge for the first time and the thunderous roar when she first appears always gives me goosebumps.

So what do I expect this year? I expect the Confessions Tour to even top Re-Invention, even though in 2004 I never thought that would be possible. I expect it to be a full scale disco party, and I have no doubt in my mind that Madonna will be able to justify her mission statement 'to turn the world into one big dance floor'. I expect to be amazed, touched, provoked and above all to dance my ass of! Madonna will once again rule the world in 2006 and she deserves it all!

Fan Writings: Anticipating when SHE is only moments away
Tour ExpectationsIt's hard to believe the new tour is almost upon us. The excitement and anticipation that has been building over the past months and in a matter of days it will be real. Although I shall not get to see it until August the reviews and experiences of fellow tribers will bring it to life from the start. I cant wait to see Sorry and Jump, my 2 favourite confessions tracks performed live for the first time. In my perfect world there will also be Let it Will Be and my all time Madonna favourite Like a Prayer however I am not here to complain about what may or may not be performed because I know Madonna will deliver a SUPERB show -she always does.

Nothing compares to that moment at a Madonna show when the lights go down and you know SHE is only moments away, the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, all the months of anticipation are almost over , the stress of trying to get tickets is forgotten, all that matters is the next couple of hours and losing yourself in a heady mixture of music, dance, energy and love!

Fan Writings: Vespera's Future Lovers
Tour ExpectationsI remember when the first rumours of Madonna hitting the road again first came up: "She can never top the re-Invention World Tour," I heard myself saying. Confessions On A Dancefloor was just out and even though I liked most of the songs, the album was never my favourite. So, the idea of another tour based on that very album seemed not very appealing to me... at that time.

Early April, everyone was waiting for the official tour announcement from madonna.com and I had my hopes up that maybe it will become as aesthetic and artistic as her previous show. But... what a disappointment! The simplest of all possible tour names, second-hand artwork from the COADF album and rushed pre-sales. Only the fact that she was gonna do Germany kept me going..

It wasn't until the first details about the setlist came up I got excited about the Confessions Tour: "Like A Virgin," "Live To Tell," "Paradise (Not For Me)" and "Erotica" were more than I had ever hoped for! The provisional setlist still had a bit too much of COADF in it for my liking, but I was willing to overlook that for the time being.

I found myself imagining what the opener would be like and shared my thoughts with the Tribe on this very site:

I can so see Future Lovers as the opener for the new tour... I imagine it to be like Drowned World/Substitute For Love back in 2001... when the music starts all the dancers and musicians enter... the stage is setting itself up... and with "connect to the sky"... Madonna appears!

As I found out later, my prediction wasn't so off the mark! Since that day, despite the missing originality, the Confessions Tour had me hooked big time. Images of the W Magazine shoot with Steven Klein would pop up and get me even more excited as I had to find out that at least the Tourbook and the Costumes seemed able to exceed my high expections. Talks of crosses and descending disco balls made my eyes sparkle.

Now, a few days into the Opening Night, I cannot wait for this years summer to come... until the day that I will get to see what Madonna has in store for us once more.

See you in London, Duesseldorf and Amsterdam!

Fan Writings: A world party for Micheau
Tour ExpectationsStarting Tomorrow MadonnaTribe is going to celebrate Madonna's new tour with Tour Expectations. We will be happy to give voice to the visitors of our news page, that can share their tour expectations with fellow fans.
What do you expect to see on stage? Which is the feel you expect to experience this time? Which is your absolute favourite song from either the real setlist or your dream one?

Please send your writings at our usual email address: sharewithtribe@madonnatribe.net, in the mean time let's read what our friend Micheau has to say. Don't worry, her entry is "spoiler free".

Hi Tribers!!! I'm going to be at the show in London 10th, I don't know how I got the tickets because the Ticketmaster page kicked me out the first time, 'cause I wasn´t too fast in filling the form. But then to my surprise they added more shows, and I get throuhg it. I got four tickets, for two very special friends of mine and for my husband and I. The two girls and I are Madonna fans since we were ten years old (now we are 30 years old, so Madonna has been a part of our lives for 20 years...). My husband isn't a Madonna fan, but he likes "Confessions on a dance floor" a lot, so this is my opportunity to make him feel the connection with Madonna live, and make him a fan too!!!! The pity is that we aren't going to be near the stage, but those were the best seats I managed to get. I was in Barcelona the first day of the "Drowned World Tour" and it was in a smaller location. I've never been to a show at a stadium, with so many people, I dont know the sensation but I think it would feel like a World party.

I haven't read the tour spoilers about the setlist, I want her to surprise me, but I've seen the costumes pictures, and I think this is going to be a great show, at least, a very creative one, very surprising (Madonna as Christ or the Bee Gees????). But every show Madonna has done is amazing and different. To celebrate I'm going to paint four different T-shirts to wear for the show, I did it for the Drowned World Tour and people wanted to buy them!!! I'm going to be very creative at that, for me painting T-shirts is very fun and a form of expression. What I expect is to share this incredible experience with the people I love most, it´s going to be amazing. I only fear the tickets arrive on time to my mailbox or blame you Ticketmasterrrrrrr!!!!!!!!
